A couple of weeks ago, I was at the Parthenon, on the Acropolis of Athens, again.

I’ve been there a few times before, but this time felt different.

As I was queuing to go up the steps, I had this strong feeling of being very small.

Not in a negative way, but in a quiet, grounding way.

The grandeur of the temple, standing so high and so close to the sky, reminded me that there is something bigger than us.

We are such a small part of this vast universe.

It’s the same feeling I experience when I facilitate Family Constellations.

That sense that there is something greater guiding us. Some call it collective consciousness, others divine grace. A presence that supports us, helps us heal, and meets us when we are open to it.

It was a beautiful feeling.

There is something beautifully simple, about what is actually needed when attending a constellation.

Nothing to prepare. Nothing to study. Nothing to “get right.”

Just an open heart.

Because this work doesn’t speak the language of the mind.

It doesn’t unfold through logic, analysis, or understanding in the way we’re used to.

The moment the mind tries to take control, to label, to interpret, to make sense of everything that is happening… it can gently interrupt the very thing that is trying to move through you.

Not because the mind is wrong, but because this work lives somewhere else.

It lives in the body.
In sensation.
In subtle movements of emotion.
In something we feel before we can explain.

And that’s why it can be so difficult to define what a constellation truly is.

Words tend to flatten it. Explanations tend to limit it.

It’s like trying to describe the ocean without ever stepping into the water.

You can get close, but you won’t really know.

A constellation is something you experience.

This is where the work begins.

In trusting the process, even when it doesn’t make immediate sense.

In staying with what arises, instead of trying to change it.

In being available to what wants to be seen, felt, and released.

Because there is a kind of intelligence at play in constellations that goes beyond the personal mind.

What we often call the “knowing field” is not something we control, but something we step into.

And when we do, it has its own way of bringing forward exactly what is ready to be acknowledged.

This is where grace comes in.

So when someone asks what they need to join a constellation, the answer remains the same, even if it sounds almost too simple:

Come as you are.
Let your mind rest, just a little.
Stay close to your body, to your breath, to the present moment.

And most of all, come with an open heart.

If our heart says

❤️‍🩹 “You didn’t love me enough,” or

❤️‍🩹 “You weren’t who I needed you to be,”

we are, in some way, saying no to our mother and, with that, no to the flow of life itself.

Bert Hellinger expressed this simply:

✨ “The movement toward the mother is the movement toward life.” ✨

When that movement is interrupted by trauma, abandonment, rejection, emotional distance, or a painful history, we often become stuck.

We may find ourselves judging our mother, carrying her pain, or trying to be strong where we were meant to be held.

In subtle ways, we turn away from her, and from what came through her to us.

But when we bow inwardly to our mother, something sacred begins to shift.

When we say:

✨ “You are my mother. I am your child. You gave me life, and I will take it fully, with all that came with it,” ✨

we realign ourselves with the current of life.

We don’t have to approve of her choices.

We don’t have to agree with her.

But when we can take her just as she is, and just as she was, we move closer to inner peace.

🧚‍♀️ Beyond the personal, this movement is archetypal. The mother also represents the Feminine: the creative, intuitive, nourishing force of life.

When we carry resentment toward our mother, we often resist what the Feminine offers us: ease, rest, receptivity, nourishment.

We may overwork.
We may control.
We may distrust softness or beauty.

Without realizing it, life becomes something we push through rather than something that meets us.

When we begin to see this, a new movement becomes possible. Not fixing the past. Not rewriting her story. Simply turning toward what was given, exactly as it came.

And this inner turning can sound as simple as a sentence:

✨ “Mother, I will take your love as it is, without judging it and without expecting it to be different.” ✨

Once we make peace with our mother, we become more able to:

❤️ Receive love and support

❤️ Say yes to joy, money, and healthy relationships

❤️ Walk our path with humility and strength

❤️ Step into adulthood without blame or waiting for permission

When we make peace with the one who gave us life, we are finally free to live it 🤍

But when we do, we don’t just reject the other. We also limit the flow of love in our own lives.

Take our mother, for example.

If we look to her for love and she is only able to offer 15% of her love, then our work is not to demand the other 85%.

Our work is to open our heart and fully receive the 15% that is available.

Crazy, right? 🤯

It might be counterintuitive, but when we truly acknowledge what is instead of fighting what isn’t, we allow the flow of love to expand.

Each of us has our own definition of what love is and how it’s expressed.

And when love doesn’t come in the form we expect, want, or need, it’s easy to turn away from it. 🙅‍♀️

But when we do, we don’t just reject the other. We also limit the flow of love in our own lives.

Funerals are not just the act of burying someone.

They are rites of passage - sacred thresholds that help us mark an ending, honor a life, and allow the soul to move on.

In many traditions and religions, there are rituals for each stage: how we spend the last days with someone, how we bury them, and how we honor them after they’ve passed.

Each step has a purpose.

It allows us to fully acknowledge not only the life, but also the death of the person. It helps their soul cross to the other side.

And it helps us begin to grieve and to understand that they are no longer physically here, and yet still with us in another way.

But many of us didn’t get to experience this.

When we were children, the adults in our life often decided that we were too young to bear the pain.

We weren’t allowed to go to the funeral.

Sometimes, they even lied to us about what happened.

And yet, even when we’re very young, we feel that something has changed.

And if the person who passed was someone we were deeply connected to, being kept away from saying goodbye can create a block.

Because when children are not allowed to attend funerals, they are not given a chance to fully say goodbye.

They cannot truly accept that someone they loved will not return.

And that unexpressed grief can become stuck and linger in the body, quietly shaping how we love, how we let go, how we move through life.

In systemic work, we know that what is not seen doesn’t disappear — it waits. It waits for completion. It waits for the chance to be acknowledged and included.

So if someone in your family passes away and you have small children, please don’t lie to them.

Tell them the truth in a way they can understand.

Explain what death is, simply, honestly, and allow them to say goodbye in their own way.

And if you were once that child who wasn’t allowed to say goodbye, know that it’s not too late.

The goodbye you needed can still happen now. And constellations can help with that.

When a romantic relationship ends, especially in heartbreak or conflict, it’s so easy for our minds to fixate on what went wrong.

We reframe the past through the lens of pain, and sometimes we end up turning someone we once loved into a villain in our story.

But here’s something we rarely talk about.

If we once chose that person, if we loved them, lived with them, married them, or had children with them, then there must have been goodness in them, too.

Especially if you have a child with someone.

At some point, you thought they were good enough.

Your heart said: “This is the one. This is who I trust to bring life into the world with me.”

That is sacred.

And what we don’t close with love, we carry forward.

The anger, frustration, bitterness, even hate that remains in us toward a former partner doesn’t just stay locked in the past.

It leaks into the present. And future.

We bring it, consciously or not, into our current partnership or our next one.

We carry the burden of what was unresolved.

And the pieces of our soul that stayed stuck in that story? They remain missing.

We don’t show up fully. Not for ourselves, and not for the ones we love now.

So instead of denying the past, we can try something different.

We can honor what was good, even if the relationship ended.

Not to go back. Not to forget what hurt.

But to restore the balance in our soul.

✨ Here’s a healing practice you might try:

Close your eyes.

Feel your feet on the ground, breathe gently, and connect with your heart.

But for many of us, part of our soul remains “married” to our family of origin, often unconsciously.

We stay entangled with a parent who suffered, a sibling who struggled, a dynamic we still feel responsible for.

We keep trying to save someone we love, someone we were never meant to save.

And without realizing it, we keep showing up for our new family with only part of ourselves.

It’s not that love is missing.

It’s that loyalty is split.

And when our inner posture is still turned toward the past, there’s little room left for the present.

If you find yourself in conflict with your spouse, or distant from your children… if you often feel like you don’t fully belong in your own home… or if your partner says, “You’re not really here” it may not be about them.

It may be about where you are still entangled.

This is something we can feel and see clearly in a Family Constellation.

The work gives us a chance not to cut ties, but to place them in their rightful order.

We return to being sons and daughters of our parents.

We take our place as spouses beside our partners.

We stand behind our children.

And love can flow again.

Who is your family, really?

If you’re married and I asked you now, “Who is your family?” what would you say?

Not the kind of questions meant to analyze or diagnose, but questions that help us tune into the deeper layers.

We look at their family of origin.

We listen for unprocessed loss, injustice, or forgotten grief.

Sometimes it’s not about what we remember, but about what the family could never speak of.

Then, the client chooses representatives from the group - people who will stand in for different family members, or aspects of the system.

These representatives don’t act or imagine.

They simply open themselves to the field, and slowly, something extraordinary begins to happen.

They start to feel emotions, impulses, even thoughts of the person they represent.

It’s as if the family’s soul speaks through them.

And this is where the healing begins.

Through movements, silences, and healing sentences - words that carry truth to the surface - we begin to untangle the knots.

We allow what was excluded to be seen.

We let the past rest in the past, and we help the client find their rightful place in their family system.

Not too high, not too low.

Not carrying what doesn’t belong to them.

Just standing in the truth of their own life.

What happens in a constellation is deeply sacred.

It’s also hard to explain, because it touches the soul in a way the mind can’t fully grasp.

Sometimes it was broken suddenly by trauma, separation, or loss.

Sometimes it never fully formed, because she was struggling, absent, unavailable, or carrying pain too heavy to process.

Often, we don’t even realize the impact this had… until we begin to trace the patterns that still shape our lives.

We might long for love, but keep love at a distance.

We might overgive, overprove, or overwork, always trying to feel worthy.

We might find ourselves resisting rest, nourishment, help, without knowing why.

Today is my Name Day ✨

It’s the day we celebrate Archangels Michael and Gabriel.

And I happen to be named Mihaela Gabriela.

Having this name was not the plan… it kinda just happened.

But I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

I’ve always felt that names carry energy and the fact that I carry the names of the two greatest Archangels, the protectors and guides of humanity, feels like a reflection of what my life was always going to be about.

🪽 Archangel Michael holds the masculine energy: strength, protection, and clarity.

He is the guardian of light, the one who cuts through illusion and fear, the one who reminds us of our power and helps us stand in truth.

His presence brings direction when we feel lost, courage when we feel small, and safety when life feels uncertain.

🪽 Archangel Gabriel carries the feminine: intuition, nurturing, and inspiration.

She is the messenger of divine truth, the gentle voice that speaks through our hearts, guiding us toward creation, birth, and expression.

Her energy is soft but powerful, it helps us trust our inner knowing, speak our truth with love, and create from a place of flow rather than force.

For most of my life, I’ve lived more from my Mihaela side, embodying that masculine energy of doing, leading, protecting, and achieving.

But in recent years, I’ve been learning to open more to my Gabriela, to soften into trust, to receive rather than control, to create from inspiration instead of effort.

Today, as I sat in a monastery, gazing at the icon of Archangel Michael, I asked him to help me with the masculine. To take care of the things I no longer need to fight for, so I don’t have to be so masculine myself.

So I can keep opening to my feminine 🤍
